It comes in an unusual bottle that might be a gimmick. Unique bottles are useful if you are selling mostly online. A quirky cologne bottle may be able to impress enough people that they will ignore the mediocre or bad product. Dresser decoration.
My own first impression of Aubusson Pour Homme without even looking at the scent notes on Fragrantica: Floral and sweet to start out with a little citrus and patchouli in the back and maybe a little wood. Mostly very floral and sweet. Maybe even a little feminine at least when you first crack open the bottle. Not sure how much I like this as a scent for myself to start out. It does seem to dry down to something a little more appropriate.
Does it smell cheap? Yes, it does. Not cheap like the Lomani, by which I mean that it is not both dated and cheap -smelling but certainly this is aimed at teenage boys and grown men who don’t know better and thing sweet=good. It’s a lowest common denominator product. Cheap and dated but not necessarily unpleasant. If all you need is a cologne and anything will do, this certainly gets the job done.
OK, maybe a small revision: It’s not all the way feminine but it seems more floral and fruity than other colognes I have and that may make it seem less masculine than the other scents here. It’s loud and attention-getting and not necessarily appropriate for a workplace setting.
